The real question is why shouldn’t you? The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that on average, indoor air is two to five times more polluted than outdoor air. Air purifiers are designed to eliminate impurities in the air (even impurities that are so microscopic they are invisible to the eye.) Our Germ Defense electrostatic technology helps remove 95% of airborne allergens and 90% of viruses and bacteria within two hours, so your space is noticeably fresher and healthier from the start.
Of course, you don’t have to suffer from allergies to experience the benefits of an air purifier. Personal air purifiers can filter dust, dirt, and viruses, protecting you from colds and other sicknesses while keeping your home clean so you don’t have to dust as frequently. You stay healthy and your home stays beautiful.
Electrostatic air filters contain both positively and negatively charged blades to capture positively and negatively charged air particles. As a bonus, the Germ Defense Air Purifier filter is permanent, meaning you will never need to replace a filter again. (Though it does require cleaning, so look through your purifier’s Use & Care manual for more details.)
Microns are used to measure the size of microscopic airborne particles, including the microscopic impurities that your air purifier works so hard to eliminate. One micron is 1/25,000 of an inch. To put that into perspective, dust mites average around 300 microns and a grain of sand can be over 800 microns.
We’re glad you want your Germ Defense Air Purifier front and center, but keep your needs in mind. If you suffer from allergies (especially dust), the best place is your bedroom. If you have pets, place the Germ Defense Air Purifier in the room where they spend most of their time. No matter which room, make sure it is a few feet away from the walls for maximum airflow.
Because we want your air purifier to stay up and running to keep you healthy and happy. The handle is not for carrying but for easily pulling the electrostatic filter cell out. If the handle is used often for carrying room to room it may cause wear and tear.
Gently push down on the bottom latch, then pull the released grid forward and remove.
To replace the grids, place the bottom of grid flush with lower part of unit. Push the grid edges flush with the unit sides, then slide the grid up to secure it. You will hear an audible click. Refer to your Use & Care manual for further cleaning instructions.
Regular cleaning will keep your Germ Defense Electrostatic Air Purifier running smoother, longer. Keep an eye out for the indicator light, but the filter cell should be checked at least every other week depending on your air quality. Refer to your Use & Care manual for further cleaning instructions.
