Humidifiers add moisture to indoor air, relieving congestion from the common cold and flu and soothing scratchy throats, dry skin and eyes, and irritated sinuses. Perfect for babies, adults, and everyone in between, a humidifier’s moisture thins the mucus in the sinuses, making it easier to breathe, and easy breathing is important for every family’s health. From smooth skin and shiny hair to cared-for furniture, humidifiers keep you and your home looking beautiful and feeling comfortable.

NO. Your humidifier is meant for water and water only. Adding any essential oils or medication may actually cause damage or cracking of your tank – and no one wants that!

Despite some of our loud, colorful designs – we pride ourselves on having whisper quiet humidifiers.  The fan in the humidifier whirs quietly as it disperses a soothing mist.

Display it proudly, but make sure it is placed on a flat, water-safe surface at least 3 feet off the ground.  If you have wood or water-sensitive surfaces, use a placemat under the humidifier to protect from condensation.  Never use a towel or place the humidifier on carpet as this will block the fan vent & may cause damage to your humidifier.

The humidity is produced by using a fan to draw the air of the room  in and then pass through the water soaked wick filters.  As the water evaporates, the humidity in the air increases.

YES.  Evaporative humidifiers rely on the wick filters to operate.  Wicks should be changed when there is visible mineral buildup, a decrease in humidity output and/or tears in the filter.

Cleaning is simple, but very important to keep your humidifier running smoother, longer!  We recommend emptying the water tank & basin daily and disinfecting once a week.  Use 1-2 tablespoons of white vinegar and half a tank of water to disinfect.

Our humidifiers are built for all different environments, so it is possible the fan level is set too high for your space.  Try a lower setting.  If this doesn’t solve the problem, check to make sure the water tank cap is secure.

Clean and dry the humidifier.  Do not store under heavy objects as this may cause damage.

The tank, base plate and filter covers are 100% plastic and can be recycled in a regular plastic recycling stream.  The humidifier base with the fan has electrical components and should be dropped off at an E-Waste recycling center.  Find an E-Waste site near you.
