WHY SHOULD I USE AN AIR PURIFIER?
The real question is why shouldn’t you? The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that on average, indoor air is two to five times more polluted than outdoor air. Air purifiers are designed to eliminate impurities in the air (even impurities that are so microscopic they are invisible to the eye.)Of course, you don’t have to suffer from allergies to experience the benefits of an air purifier. Personal air purifiers can filter dust and dirt, protecting you from harmful airborne particles while keeping your home clean so you don’t have to dust as frequently. So you stay healthy and your home stays beautiful.
WHERE SHOULD I PLACE MY AIR PURIFIER?
If you suffer from allergies (especially dust), the best place is your bedroom. If you have pets, place your Crane Air Purifier in the room where they spend most of their time. No matter which room, make sure it is a few feet away from the walls for maximum airflow.
WHAT IS A MICRON?
Microns are used to measure the size of microscopic airborne particles, including the microscopic impurities that your air purifier works so hard to eliminate. One micron is 1/25,000 of an inch. To put that into perspective, dust mites average around 300 microns and a grain of sand can be over 800 microns.
WHAT DOES HEPA FILTER MEAN?
HEPA is an acronym for High Efficient Particulate Air. Any true HEPA filter guarantees that the filter will capture airborne particles down to 0.3 microns in size, 99.97% of the time. So it means you’re breathing clean, fresh air around the clock.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPLACE THE HEPA FILTER IN MY AIR PURIFIER?
We suggest every 3-6 months, but it really depends on your usage and the quality of your air. Check your filter periodically to see if the filter needs to be replaced. For more information, please read the Use & Care manual.
HOW DO I REPLACE THE HEPA FILTER SET?
Always turn the unit off and unplug the air purifier from power before replacing the filter. Turn the unit upside down, unscrew the base over and unwrap the washable particle filter from the HEPA filter. Discard the old HEPA filter and wrap the washable particle filter on the new HEPA filter. Insert them into the unit and screw the base cover back on. Hold the POWER button down for 5 seconds to reset the system. For more information, please read the Use & Care manual.
HOW DO I REPLACE THE UV LIGHT IN MY AIR PURIFIER?
Very carefully. Oil from your fingers will reduce the performance of the UV light, so always use gloves or touch only the light’s metal area. Unplug the unit and turn it upside down. Remove the base and filter, then slowly loosen the GREEN screw. Grasp the wire connectors just under he bulb housing and gently disconnect it by squeezing the side and top notches. Holding the bulb housing straight up SLOWLY slide the UV bulb out of the housing to keep rubber protectors in place. Slowly slide the new bulb into the housing to fit into the top and bottom rubber protectors without forcing. Grasp wire connectors from the purifier and bulb housing to connect by pushing together. Re-attach bulb housing by tightening the GREEN screw. Insert filter and reattach base cover. For more information, please read the Use & Care manual.
WHAT’S INVOLVED IN CLEANING MY CRANE AIR PURIFIER?
It’s simple. The dust particle filter can be rinsed lightly under tap water then placed back once it is completely dry. Never place any part of the purifier in the dishwasher. Read your Use & Care manual for further instructions.

I AM REPLACING MY AIR PURIFIER WITH A NEW ONE. HOW SHOULD I DISPOSE OF THE OLD ONE?
